What do you want your legacy to be?
I am writing this week’s post as a means of reflection. It’s something I think about quite often, but for other reasons. I lost a great friend to cancer this weekend and after reading all the sentiments on Facebook, I realize that she left a legacy not only for her family and for me, but for thousands of people. Stories pouring out about her smile lighting up the room, about how she helped people and about patients she took care of and colleagues she supported.
What do you want people to remember about you when you are gone? Gone doesn’t have to mean that you have died. If you were to leave your current profession, what would you want people to remember about you? What would you want to be remembered for? It’s a tough question, I know, but it’s important when you are approaching each day. Are you being the person that you want to be remembered for? Or, are you doing things you wouldn’t want someone to talk about when you left a job, or at your funeral. I challenge each and every one of you who ae reading this to take some time to reflect on this question and make it your mission every day to be the person you want to be remembered as.
Thank you for reading and have an AMAZING week!
